Highlights of a swing through Erie Co. this morning and early afternoon:
Sheldon's Marsh - a nice selection of woods birds, a very vocal Carolina wren near the old NASA pumphouse, several green-winged teal in the marsh, a towhee singing (just the intro) behind Sheldon's Folly.
Medusa Marsh - mallard, gadwall, shoveler, ring-neckeds, bufflehead, green-winged teal; tree swallows.
Castalia state fish hatchery - a pheasant and a phoebe.
Old Woman Creek - great egrets, great blue herons, and about 10 hooded mergansers visible from the deck.
