Saturday, January 23rd:
We were on the hunt for the Red-shouldered Hawk in Clintonville (after we
saw the post by Andy Sewell - Thanks Andy!!!!) and found it as we were
driving south on Indianola. We promptly followed it along Midgard Rd where
we found it perched high up in a tree. Beautiful bird!!!!
On our way back home we stopped at the Quarry and only found a small
gathering of Canada Goose but a quick stop behind some of the buildings
along 33 just before Grandview Ave we spotted what we believed to be about 5
Mute Swans walking on the ice (I'm not sure what that area or body of water
is referred to as). I only had my cell phone with me so I snapped a couple
of photos but they really aren't worthy of sharing. It was nice to see them
however.
Good birding,
