To All,
I was driving east on the Ohio turnpike, coming back home from a visit in Detroit, MI at 5:30 PM today. In between Toledo and Sandusky, there was an adult bald eagle circling on the south side of the highway. About 45 minutes downn the road I saw a large eagle flying 150 ft or so above the ground northwest across the highway. It was all dark below, but with a different flap than a Bald Eagle. I noticed a golden undertail, and a distinct terminal tail band, with a very slight band above. I also noticed a much smaller head than all of the Bald Eagles I have seen on my many travels to Michigan. This is not my first Golden, but my first in Ohio!
Good Birding,
Chris
