Although I-77 between home in Fairlawn and work in Akron is mostly enclosed in soundwalls now, the strecth through the Copley Swamp allows some views of marshy areas. This morning the Redwings were back, despite the ice remaining from the storm Tuesday night. I counted three males, perched on prominent branches and waiting for spring. Grackles appeared here on Monday; no killdeer detected yet.
