ANHINGA: Jim Fry observed one flying by his home in Hocking County on
the 16th.
MAGNIFICENT FRIGATEBIRD: On the 16th, Gabe Hostetler spotted a
juvenile flying near Route 30 south of Massillon near the Richville
exit.
Golden Eagle: Paul McSweeny observed one soaring past his home in
Dublin, Franklin County, on the 16th.
Upland Sandpiper: One was being seen west of Kidron in Wayne County
on the 19th. Call the Bobolink RBA (330-763-5119).
Marbled Godwit: The previously reported bird at the Twin Lakes area of
O'Shaughnessy Nature Preserve, Franklin County, (off Dublin Road just
north of the town of Shawnee Hills) continues. Two have been seen
through the 19th at Hoover Reservoir, Delaware County, from the Area M
boardwalk or points east.
Western Sandpiper: John Pogacnik had four at Conneaut on the 15th.
Buff-breasted Sandpiper: Reports continued from the Berlin Reservoir,
Stark County, through the 12th, and from the east side of Hoover
Reservoir, Delaware County, through the 19th.
Red-necked Phalarope: They were seen on the 13th at the Lorain
impoundment and along Prairie Lane, Killbuck Wildlife Area, Wayne
County. They were reported from Conneaut, Ashtabula County, on the
15th.
Laughing Gull: One was at Conneaut on the 15th.
Sabine’s Gull: Doing a lake watch at Conneaut, Ashtabula County, John
Pogacnik saw an adult fly by.
Pomarine Jaeger: John Pagacnik tallied two adults during the above
lake watch.
WESTERN KINGBIRD: Darlene Snuffer found one on the 16th at Hueston
Woods State Park “along Hedge Row Rd. between the horse rental and the
bike rental areas”.
