I drove up Hayes Rd. from Route 87 this afternoon checking for Rough-legged Hawks and found a Bald Eagle instead. I initially spotted it on the ground in one of the fields just north of Nauvoo. I watched it fly over the road and fields for a bit until it perched in a tree near a barn.
