Fellow birders,

There was a single Common Loon at Buckeye Lake late this afternoon around 6:00 pm. It was on the Perry County side, showing good taste for a loon, and thus countable on our Perry County Big Year.

The previous evening we heard a BARN OWL just northwest of Somerset on a friends farm, which also made the list. We are not close to Margaret Bowman's Licking County Big Year, but we are doing fairly well.
