Thanks to Nancy Anderson's Saturday report (and very sharp eyes!) we found
2 Common Redpolls today (11/25)
in probably the same Sweetgum Tree in Lakeview Cemetery.
The tree is about 100 yards uphill from the Lower/Euclid Ave. Gate on the
main road - on the east side of the road.
The Sweetgum is loaded w/ fruit, and if just a few feeding birds, they can
be quite inconspicuous to the naked eye - but
more easily found scanning with binoculars. There are many Sweetgums
throughout the cemetery - especially
uphill, a little to the west of the Garfield Monument.
At least 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers continue in Section 32 (southeast portion
of the cemetery) - near the pine woods.
