Observed and photographed one Red-necked Grebe around noon in the limited
open water at the eastern (Woodman) end of the main lake at Eastwood
Metropark, Montgomery County. Among Common Goldeneye, Canvasback, and
Ring-necked Ducks. Plumage was intermediate, with bold white cheek and
black cap, but only a smattering of russet at the throat.
