I visited Pickerington Pond early this afternoon, and found most of the same
birds reported by Rob Lowry, but they had moved around a little.
Blue Wing Pond had about 25 Gadwalls and a couple of Mallards.
Mallard Marsh (from the blind) had 250 Mallards, 4 Pintails, 25 American
Black Ducks and a GREEN-WINGED TEAL.
Arrowhead Marsh had two American Coots and about 75 Mallards.
Ellis Pond had about 25 American Black Ducks and about 25 Mallards. I saw
two White-crowned Sparrows near the Wright Road parking area.
Pintail Marsh, which Rob apparently did not visit, had 2 Northern Shovelers,
3 Buffleheads, 2 Ring-necked Ducks and 4 American Coots.
Directions to Pickerington Ponds are at www.metroparks.net.
