We've spent the past few weeks watching red shouldered hawks build a nest
in our front yard. Today they spent their time mating and driving the
young from last year away. They've nested in the back yard most of the
past few years and have moved their nest to a new location in the front
yard this year. This is the earliest in the year we've seen them mate.

Other recent backyard sightings:
Red Winged Black bird on the feeder for the past 2 weekends
Turkey vulture soaring overhead this past Friday
