We will be spending about a day and a half birding at Shawnee later this week. I'm doing some preparation and what I've found seems difficult to follow. I have the www.ohiobirds.org info which describes a route starting at SR125 and Pond Lick Road (Forest Rd. #1). It appears to follow SR125 north-west possibly up towards Bear Lake and beyond. It also mentions Moore's Lane further south as an additional place to check. So I think I've got something to work with.

But if anyone can suggest any 'don't miss' type spots and can give me more details I'd certainly appreciate it. I am especially interested in warblers that may be found there more often than northern Ohio where I live. Of course any and all birds will be of interest. And seeing Shawnee for the first time will be a treat.

Thank you,

Tom Fishburn
