Just got a call from Troy Shively, following up a call from Mary
Misplon, who discovered a juvenal Sabine's gull at the fish hatchery at
Grand Lake St. Marys in western Auglaize Co. (site guide on the OOS site
at http://www.ohiobirds.org/birdingsites/showsite.php?Site_ID=88 ). This
species usually migrates south by sea, but a few young ones stray across
the continent, not many this far east. This is prime time for them here,
but they are rare and do not stay for long. If you live close to GLSM,
it just might be around tomorrow, but don't count on it.
