About 4:00 pm this afternoon I spotted a bald eagle in a snag on the east bank of the Cuyahoga a bit south of Rockside Rd., about 3/4 of a mile. A couple police officers stopped to see why I had pulled off to the side of Canal Rd. while I was trying to get a few shots and during our chat I missed a good photo op of the first eagle cavorting with a second that had been in the field at the base of the tall trees. By the time I could re-situate and walk back in they had moved on. Just before I left I think I spotted both birds flying south along the river about half a mile apart.
Also, south of there off Hillside road near the bridge were at least 3 eastern bluebirds.
