No real clue if anyone is interested in this or anything, but I thought it was pretty cool. Was going on a gas station/subway run about an hour ago and saw a kingfisher on a wire running parallel to the bridge over the Kokosing just down the road from downtown Mount Vernon. Looked like a male, but my window was dirty so I'm not sure. Always fun seeing them carrying about their business so close to the busy road. When we came back by about 10 minutes later, it was gone.
