Thought I should post my sightings, meager as they are!!

Grand Lake St Marys was not conducive to birding today - 30 degrees, wind
whipping from the west (like it usually does)at 20-25mph!!

However, we did see about 1500-2000 Canada Geese, 50-75 Mallards, 10+ N
Shovelers, 1 RTH, 6-8 GBH, Ringbill Gulls -- guess that was about all! No
BEs!!

While sitting in his tree stand recently (last week - muzzle season) my
husband has seen WBNH, RBWP, N Flickers, ?sparrows, and squirrels. We aren't
well versed on sparrows!

Kestrels have been identified along the highways in Auglaize and Mercer
Counties along with many Mourning Doves and the ever present starlings!

Maybe with a little less breeze, sightings will pick up!

Happy New Year for Birding!!

Jill Bowers
Auglaize County
