Early this morning on my way from Columbus to Washington CH I counted 4 
great blue herons along Rte. 62 between the 71 exit and just north of 
Washington CH.  We all rightly lament the loss of habitat, but still it is 
encouraging to see so many of these wonderful creatures in such a short 
time.
