Since many sightings of Buff Breasted Sandpipers have been hitting the listserv, I decided to check a reliable spot this morning to see if they had returned. I wasn't disappointed also adding a new specie to the reservoir for me anyway. A list of shorebirds is as follows:

Am. Golden Plover 1 flyover
Killdeer 21
Spotted Sandpiper 11
RUDDY TURNSTONE 1
RED KNOT 1 juv. bird new to the area
SANDERLING 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper 2
Least Sandpiper 3
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER 1
BUFF BREASTED SANDPIPER 7 very tame allowing close approach.
