Beautiful Swainson's Thrush, very much out in the open, seen at Singer Lake
Bog, Green, Summit County this morning. There was also an assortment of
warblers but all were too well hidden by the leaves to be able to give any
definitive identification to, except one that I am pretty sure was a Tennessee.
All were seen after I had left the fairly large group (17 Canton Audubon
members) to return to the car alone. Which speaks to the fact that birding can be
fun in groups but sometimes not as productive. But I also must admit that as
a group, we were focused more on plants than on birds.
