Region, for the Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO) , Lunch Lecture Series.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you anything about Jim. If you don't know who
he is by now, I'm worried about you! : ) Jim's knowledge and understanding
of Ohio's flora and fauna is legendary, and his fun and informative
presentations make him a highly sought after public speaker. BSBO is thrilled to
offer you this opportunity to see Jim speak and maybe you can do a little
birding in the marsh region [...]39_7Nov200703:34:[log in to unmask]

Hi ! I am posting this for Shaune Skinner. Yesterday (11/29/07) Shaune,
her father & brother observed 389 (!!) Sandhill Cranes in Northwestern
Ohio. At 4:10 PM, they saw 5 flocks flying southeast towards Grand Lake
St. Mary's in Celina, Ohio. Flock 1 - 120, flock 2 - 80, flock 3 - 60,
flock 4 - 110, and flock 5 - 19. Their characteristic call/song was very
audible. She also wanted me to mention that the 18 Sandhills that have
been reported in previous postings in Auglaize Co. were still there as of
yesterday at the gravel pit location.

Good birding !
