I visited a few spots along the Scioto River between Grandview and Upper Arlington, includingg the Grandview ponds, Marble Cliff, Hidden Lake Quarries, and Griggs dam. There was not much migrant waterbird activity here yet, aside from a flock of 50 Coots at Marble CLiff and a few Ruddy Ducks at Hidden Lake. Landbirds were highlighted by sizeable flocks of Robins, Waxwings, and Starlings at nearly every stop, though not in the numbers of year past (due to a mediocre berry crop). Most unusual birds included a PINE WARBLER at Marble Cliff and a Fox Sparrow at Griggs dam.
