I drove over to Spindler Rd. on Hilliard's west side this afternoon in
search of subspecies of the Canada Goose. After bracing and braving the 30
knot icy winds for about a New York minute, I located a Cackling goose
amongst the more numerous,normal-sized,Canadian Geese. This was at the pond
on Crystal Pond Dr. just off of Spindler . There were also a handful of
Mallards up on the grassy bank facing into the wind. Closer to home here
on Galloway Rd.,I spotted the 2 Mute Swans out of the water at the pond
.They spotted me and quickly approached me undoubtedly looking for a
handout...
