the immature northern gannet showed up at e. 72nd street in cleveland at about 12:40 pm today, 12/26/2007.  the bird was flying and diving to catch fish.  it was still sitting on the water when i left about 12:50 pm.  also observed were a first-winter iceland gull and at least two glaucous gulls.
