Greetings---did some noodling around in Mahoning Co. today......L. Milton was the place for waterfowl, with: Canada geese, 150 mallards, 15 Am. black ducks, Am. wigeon, 3 canvasbacks, redhead, 20 ring-necked ducks, 10 lesser scaup, 10 buffleheads, 6 c. goldeneyes, a pair of nice adult long-tailed ducks, 110 hooded mergansers, ruddy duck, 2 horned grebes, 5 Am. coots, great blue heron, 50 Bonaparte's gulls, belted kingfisher, juncos, and Am. tree sparrow. Berlin Res. and Deer Creek Res. had no waterfowl to speak of, just some r-b gulls. In SW Mahoning Co. I saw Am. kestrels, Cooper's hawks, and n. mockingbirds. Craig
