I took a walk at Sheldon's Marsh, Huron, Erie Co. today. Not many
songbirds: cardinals, Am. Tree Sparrows, Song Sparrows, 12-15 juncos,
Blue Jays, robins, many male red-wings singing, grackles, and
Red-bellied Woodpeckers. In the water there were many Canada Geese,
some Mallards, 6-8 Northern Pintail, 4 Green-winged Teal, 2
Blue-winged Teal (male & female), 2 Northern Shovelers (male &
female), Hooded Merganser (male), and 25 American Coot. There have
been 3-4 coots around for about 10 days but several must have
migrated in last night.
