Finally, a perfect day for hawk migration at Conneaut - south winds, sun and clouds. It's between peak Red-shouldered and Broad-winged seasons so we rarely try during this part of April. Today it was worth it - new Ohio record for American Kestrels (we think). There were 77 Kestrels counted from 6 pm to 7:10 pm. From 5-6 pm there were 52 Kestrels and 453 Turkey Vultures. It was a lot of fun!

Turkey Vultures 1302
Osprey 6
Bald Eagle 6

Sharp-shinned 204
Cooper's 11
Red-shouldered 43
Red-tailed 116
Rough-legged 6
