Loop trail by the Sportsman's Migratory Bird Center while trimming
trails!!

1. Long-eared Owls - (2) close looks in the Pines 
2. Merlin - (2) flew right by me only 30 feet up! (3:05 & 3:14 p.m.)
3. Green Heron - (1) and making some wild noises!
4. Sharp-shinned Hawks - many migrating through!
5. Cooper's Hawk - saw 1
6. Red-tailed Hawk - saw 2
7. Turkey Vulture - saw several
8. Brown Thrasher - 1
9. Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 in a pine

Observation Tower near center (partial list)

1. A. Kestrels
2. N. Harriers
3. Red-shouldered Hawks
4. Red-tailed Hawks 
5. Cooper's Hawks
6. Sharp-shinned Hawks
7. Bald Eagles
8. Turkey Vultures
9. Virginia Rail - one calling from pond
