I need help ... again... from you experts. It seems at the change of each
season, I'm just not able to identify some species.

On Thursday last week I watched what I assume to be a sandpiper at the
second pond at Prairie Oaks off RT 142 west of Columbus. He was about the
size of a robin (because a robin was walking right alongside him), he had a
long black bill, black legs, body was brownish with white underparts. He
bounced (for lack of a better word) as he stood still (typical sandpiper
gyrations). He was too far away to hear him, and I couldn't see the eyes
very well. Oh, he did have a white rump.

Any suggestions? I'm sure you are all seeing sandpipers by now, but in
checking the latest posts I've not seen any listings.

Thanks for your help in advance.
