We saw two Black Terns at Frohring Meadows this afternoon (we left at 4pm
and they were still there). They were perched on a large rock near the path
and spent a lot of time catching tadpoles. My son and took a bunch of
pictures and posted a few at
http://picasaweb.google.com/mvalencic/BirdsOfFrohringMeadows .
My son captured one bird splashing a tadpole out of the shallows (notice the
head pointing toward the feet) then the next frame shows the successful
hunter with its prey.
Have a relaxing weekend and THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO SERVED OUR COUNTRY IN
ANY MILITARY CAPACITY!
