Quick highlights (too tired to type...):

LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE - Rt 19, 1/2 mile or so south of Rt
2;  turn at the abandoned red & white ice cream shop;
sitting on wire next to the road for most of the day,
from what I heard

Magee - 22 warbler sp., including Mourning &
Orange-crowned (I missed the Connecticut, but there
was at least one seen), all thrushes, YB Cuckoo

Metzger - 10 Black Terns off causeway - woods were
desolate - Ruddy Turnstones on the beach

Pipe Creek - more action than Magee:

- good number of warblers including Orange-crowned,
Prothonotary, & Canada (2)
- GLOSSY IBIS (2)
- lots of lingering waterfowl for you procrastinating
Big Dayers - Gadwall (2), Blue-winged Teal, Northern
Shoveler, Ring-necked Duck (fem), Lesser Scaup (6),
Hooded Merganser (2 fem w/broods), Ruddy Duck (3), &
Horned Grebe (2)

Lorain Harbor - the wetlands creation here is shaping
up quite nicely, it won't be long before this spot is
back on the birding map

- American Wigeon, Blue-winged Teal, Lesser Scaup (2)
- Black-crowned Night-Heron
- shorebirds: Greater Yellowlegs (3), Least Sandpiper
(6), Pectoral Sandpiper (1), Dunlin (34)
- warblers & Red-breasted Nuthatch in the woods

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
Cleveland
