Hey all -

Perhaps I should've reported this sooner, but I was also contacted by a boater named John Duckworth who also believed that he saw a pelican at Berlin Reservoir. He noted the bird while boat-racing both last Thur. and Sat. I described both pelicans for him and he said that he believed that it was brownish in color, and that he had seen the distinctive bill, and told me also that he had experience with Brown Pelicans in Florida.

So, three seperate reports? I think we on to something here. Craig Holt, get out there and check it out for us!

In related news, Dane Adams observed & photographed two American White Pelicans from the beach at Magee on Sunday.

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
