Thought I would share this group of 10 shots (about 30 were taken) of an
Osprey at LaDue Reservoir. My son shot the series with a 400mm lens at
quite a distance so the pictures are all zoomed-in but otherwise untouched.

Two things I found interesting: how deep the bird entered the water
(reminded me of gulls catching shad at 72nd street) and how long (or so it
seems) it took it to get back in the air.

He was able to capture a similar series of another Osprey just minutes after
this one. Then, as if we did not get enough enjoyment, the first bird
entertained us by catching a second fish.

In all, two bluegills and one catfish (or so it appeared) were caught on
three attempts - batting-a-thousand is a good way to fill your belly!
