Congratulations to Dan Sanders on recording his 800th ABA bird species. It was a Bahama Mockingbird, which has been present at Fort Desoto Park in Pinellas County, Florida. Hard to believe he was at Magee Marsh East Beach on friday, sharing the Kirtland's Warbler sighting with all the other "Biggest Week" paticipants.

Good evening,

In the good news department, Ohioan Dan Sanders recorded his 800th ABA bird species at 6 PM this afternoon when he saw the Bahama Mockingbird at Fort De Soto Park.

I may not be able to give early morning reports on the bird this week - as I occasionally do have to work - but if anyone wants to pass along the most recent sighting as the week progresses, I would appreciate it.

I'm thinking this is not only the northernmost Bahama Mockingbird ever recorded, but also the most photographed. Thank you Chris Rasmussen.

Have a great week!

Ron Smith
