I saw and heard a flycatcher when I was at Kiwanis before. I originally
left it off the list because I was unsure of the ID. After listening to the
calls of both willow and alder flycatchers, I am reasonably certain it was
an alder flycatcher.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Kiwanis/Twin Lakes (Franklin/Delaware Counties)

This morning after the rain stopped, I went to Dublin Kiwanis Riverway
Park (Franklin)to monitor boxes. I barely had time to change into my
boots when Darlene Sillick showed up. Together we got a pretty good list
of first of season (for us anyway) birds. The highlights were
prothonotary warbler, yellow warbler, spotted sandpiper, solitary
sandpiper, oriole, and a possible rose-breasted grosbeak.

Afterwards we went up to Twin Lakes (Delaware) to check some of Darlene's
boxes. Here we put together another list including, northern parula
(first of season), yellow warbler, prothonotary warbler, green heron,
great blue heron, as well as the usual suspects.
