A quick morning hike around the Borrow Pit area of this south Columbus park found migration in full gear, with lots of singing birds. The nicer weather seems to have made for a better fallout, or at least more active, noticeable birds, than the cloudy, wet weekend. Notables from less than an hour this morning were:

Solitary Sandpiper
Crested Flycatchers
Red-eyed Vireo
Warbling Vireos (4-5)
House Wrens (many)
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers (many)
Wood Thrush (4 singing)
Swainson's Thrush
Catbirds
Warblers: Yellow (4), Parula, Nashville, Tennessee (2 FOS), Black-thr.Green, Yellow-throated, Yellow-rumped, Palm, N.Waterthrush, Black&White, C.Yellowthroat, Hooded (3 singing)
Scarlet Tanager
Indigo Bunting
Rose-br.Grosbeak (3+)
Baltimore Oriole
White-throated Sparrows
