I have to say that this is so far the worst season I have ever seen
for warblers and other tropical
migrants in my area. I used to wake up to a new bird song every
morning by this time of year.
Not this one. I have had one black and white and that is all. Not
even an oriole or grossbeak either.
No house wrens that usually nest all over my neighborhood yet. Last
night while walking down a wooded trail
near the lake the only thing I saw was a first of the season bat.

Every spring seems a little quieter than the last. Now that the white
throated sparrows
have moved on it is real quiet.
