My first visit to this new (opened last Oct) preserve in Eaton Twp., Lorain Co.
I was hoping for the reported vesper sparrow but couldn't find it.  Tried hard
to make one of the innumerable song sparrows into one, but no luck.  I did find
two grasshopper and one savannah sparrows and the dickcissel.  Also many indigo
buntings and goldfinches plus an eastern meadowlark not too long out of the nest
- it had even less tail than an adult.
