As in Ricks post ,, nothin' at the fish hatchery except a ton of buckeye butterflies and 2 Great Egrets. We went on over to Mercer Wildlife Refuge and there were many Great Egrets. Seen two young eagles and at the west bank state park on the island out from the turn around in the park was an Osprey. He seems to like this perch in the leaning dead tree. We have seen him the last three weekends there. Adult Bald Eagle setting off to the side of the nest there. Then we headed for Darke County and it didn't dissappoint. Two American Advocets!! Assorted shorebirds Rick mentioned and a few Blue Herons and one Great Egret. Beautiful day to set and watch the Advocets feed there. In my backyard this morning there were numerous Blackthroated Green warblers, a number of Nashvilles,Black throated blue female, Black and White warbler, Ruby crowned Kinglet and all the usuals. Heard a Carolina Wren . Russell Lima, Ohio Allen County
