At Berlin Reservoir, south of Price Road and east of the Deer Creek Reservoir Dam, the water level is finally dropping and extensive mudflats are beginning to appear. We walked the shoreline tonight from 6PM to 7PM, recording seven species of shorebirds, unfortunately no rarities. About twenty-five total species were seen including about 30 Great Egrets. Shorebirds seen were: Killdeer (100+), Spotted Sandpiper (1), Solitary Sandpiper (11), Lesser Yellowlegs (35+), Least Sandpiper (8+), Pectoral Sandpiper (2), and Wilson's Snipe (1).
