Larry Gara and I found the Franklin's Gull still hiding out in the flock of
ring-bills on the beach at Caesar Creek State Park. There were also two
Herring Gulls among the 375 ring-bills.

A nice smattering of shorebirds were present at Mound Road, where the
expanse of mud continues to increase. We had four Solitary Sandpipers, one
Pectoral Sandpipers, two Semipalmated Sandpipers, two Least Sandpipers, and
nine Killdeer. This is an extraordinarily small number of Killdeer. There
were also two Great Blue Herons, two Great Egrets, a Pileated Woodpecker,
and a flock of Tree Swallows.

Cheers,

Bob
