Hi all,     A note of interest for some of the Southern Ohio residents on this list. I came across a Short-eared Owl last evening on Hwy 7 just past County Rd 50 (heading towards Gallipollis)  I was thinking that the area looked like good habitat for Short-eareds as I drove through, and then one flew up to a mailbox right along side the road! Not sure if it was a loner or not, but from my experience with these owls back in Wisconsin where there is one there is usually more of them.
