Yesterday while returning from our league wrestling tournament in Centerburg, I saw four black vultures. As usual, the tip-off were the "white" wing tips. I was able to pull over and view them with binoculars.

They were soaring above the intersection of Lafayette Rd and State Route 657, just south of the intersection of SR 657 and SR 62.

Are black vultures becoming more common, or am I just noticing them more?

Also had a northern flicker at my suet feeder yesterday morning, the first of 2011.
