While driving to the Forest Headquarters this morning (8:00 a.m.) I
observed two swans at the gravel pit pond in the Circle Hill area. It
lies along Rt. 33 just north of The Plains exit. They were at the far end
of the pond, toward the Hocking River, making identification virtually
impossible during an over the shoulder look at 60 mph ...just haven't
gotten that skill down yet... : ) Would be interested in hearing what
they may be if someone else is fortunate enough to make the
identification. Chances are they are mute swans but not for certain....
