There were four species of gull present including EARED (1), RED-NECKED (1),
horned (7), and pied-billed (2). The eared grebe was in the large basin
just east of the boat ramp. The red-necked was at the mouth of the channel
leading into the Gordon Park harbor area. It headed out the channel before
I could get a picture. The eared grebe also moved in that direction as I
was leaving. A couple people fishing along the south end of the basin
scared everything in that direction. There were a lot of gulls in the area,
but nothing of note.
