In case anyone wants to hunt for the Lark Sparrow at Tri-C western
campus, it was toward the C-lot (off of Pleasant Valley Rd) in front of
(south of) the C-pod (Business & Technology) east of the sidewalk
leading to the parking area. It flitted between the ground near the
sidewalk and a small oak tree. There is a lot of suitable habitat
(according to Sibley) around campus for this species. I'm thinking that
it flew in with the leading edge of the storms passing through today, in
which case it might have friends in the area! I'll post an update if I
see it again.
