There was a noticeable change in E Mahoning Co. today, as a number of temperate migrants appeared while a lot of the ducks that were around pulled out.  In Coitsville/Poland Twps. birds of note included an imm. white morph snow goose (in the morning only), Wilson's snipes, yellow-bellied sapsucker, e. phoebe, barn swallow, winter wren, e. towhees, chipping sparrows, field sparrows, song sparrows, fox sparrow, white-throated sparrow, dark-eyed juncos, e. meadowlark, and 25 rusty blackbirds.  At Evans L. and Pine L., waterfowl numbers were much reduced although variety was decent.  A canvasback and a pair of greater scaup at Pine L. were nice April birds.  The previously mentioned trumpeter swan was still there, it had a white collar and may well have been the one I saw at nearby Arrowhead L. this winter.  Double-crested cormorants and tree swallows were up in numbers.  Feeder watching might be interesting tomorrow morning.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
