Today was pretty much the opposite of yesterday in my North Perry yard. At
sun-up there were all kinds of birds singing. I heard a lot of warblers and
others. At a little after 8:00 they all got up and flew east. After that
pretty much silence. I had two Gambell's white-crowned sparrows early, but
they too departed around 8:00. There were a lot of the typical race around
all day, but no more Gambell's. Only about 10 warbler species today and all
were seen early. The only one of note was a hooded.

If anything there were more indigo buntings around. I had at least 16 of
them. There were still good numbers of orioles at the feeders, just nothing
like yesterday. I am estimating 8 orchard orioles and at least 30-40
Baltimore orioles. There was a lot of plumage variation. I had to refill
my feeders three times. Also around were at least 5 red-breasted nuthatches
and only about 30 pine siskins.
