As far as I know, nobody has resighted the Purple Gallinule at Battelle
Darby Creek Metro Park in Franklin County since I initially flushed it on
the afternoon of May 8. I am aware of several birders who tried for it on
the evening of the sighting without success and there have been at least
sporadic checks since then. The habitat is fairly extensive and difficult
to see into so this secretive bird could still be around, but who knows.
Unfortunately there are no photos; written documentation has been forwarded
to the Ohio Bird Records Committee.

Good birding,

Dave Slager
Columbus, Ohio
