I went to Chagrin River Park today from 10:15 to 5pm.  It thundered and rain for 40 mins in the late afternoon while I sat in the car.  I had been to Villa Angela earlier and left in dispair.  Lake Metroparks had an IBD event at Chagrin River Park as there were many people looking for birds.  The best bird was the Mourning Warbler found by two very helpful birders who heard then saw it and showed some of us.  Here are a few of the birds I saw as there were more birds seen by others:

Wood Ducks
Wild Turkey
Carolina Wren
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
Swainsons Thrush

Warblers:
Blue-winged 1 (seen in multiple locations)
Tennessee  saw 1, heard 2 (others saw much more)
Nashville 1 (finally found it)
Yellow - many
Chestnut-sided - at least 5
Magnolia 5-6
Black-throated Blue - at least 6
Yellow-rumped 2
Black-throated Green 1
Black-and-White 4-5
American Redstart 5-6
MOURNING WARBLER 1
Common Yellowthroat ~ 4
Wilson's 3-4
Canada 1 (multiple seen around the park) kept seeing in woods across from wet area (now a pond) sometimes close to split rail fence leading to field area)

Eastern Towhees
Rose-breasted Grosbeak 1male
Indigo Buntings
Eastern Meadowlarks heard only

Others saw Blackburnian female, multiple Ovenbirds, not sure what else.  The Mourning Warbler was seen on the path that leads from the Rural Rd lot but not as far as the connector trail.
