Greetings!

As I woke up this morning pre dawn to the sound of a robin welcoming in
the morning, I planned my day to go over to my parents golf course
(Windy Acres, in New Bloomington) and help out. While there I was
treated to
2 mocking birds luring anyone away from wherever their nesting site was.

Both Barn and Tree Swallows chowing down...anyone have any suggestions
for my parents on the best housing for them. They are...relieving
themselves on her golf carts that are stored in the barn, and she wants
to provide exterior living arrangements for them. She was talking about
some sort of shelf, but I didn't know what she was talking about.

A pair of bluebirds.
Over on their "prairie" were Grasshopper Sparrows, and Bobolinks. The
Bobolinks were a "course first".
Back in the wet woods behind their property were Great Crested and
Willow Flycatchers as well as Eastern Wood Pewees. Also seen were Red
Headed woodpeckers.

After finishing my work duties, I headed back over to Lawrence Woods to
enjoy the shade during the hot part of the day.

While there I spotted Bobolinks, Grasshopper sparrows, Yellow Warblers,
Parulas, Common Yellowthroat (heard) I thought I heard a Blue-Winged
Warbler, Ceruleans are still there! Chickadees, BG Gnatcatchers, and 2
YB Cuckoos There were also non-Warbling Vireos there...I either had Blue
-headed, or Philadelphia, I couldn't get a good look at them...

But the real stars were the Flycatchers, I had Acaidians (a Lifer...and
a knock it off my list lifer as well ;-D) on every corner of the
Boardwalk, Great Crested were dispersed throughout, I heard Willows, and
there were Pewees as well. I thought that I heard a Least, but I
couldn't confirm it.

Pics of the Acaidian are on my smug page:

Time to break out the grill! :-D

Hope you had a great Memorial Day. I wish to thank everyone who served
in the Military and the families of those who gave their lives so that I
can have the freedom to live in a country as great as this!

Have a great day!

Steve J.
